Waynetown, Jack Westfall, 80, retierd farmer, died Thursday night at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Joanna Lewellen, in Waynetown. He had been seriously ill 11 weeks. A native of Montgomery County, Mr. Westfall was born Dec 6, 1869, the son of William and Elizabeth Parker Westfall. He married Clara Gardner, of near Waynetown, Feb 5, 1893. Mr. Westfall who had devoted most of his life to farming retired in 1930. He was a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church. he also was a member of the Waynetown K of P Lodge 59 years and the Waynetown Masonic Lodge 47. Surviving besides the daughter at whose home he died are another daughter, Mrs. Nila Abbey of Hammond; four sons, Clarence Westfall of New Ross, Marion and Leslie Westfall of Crawfordsville and Ora Westfall of Williamsport; a sister, Mrs. Nettie Fouts, of Waynetown; a brother, Bert Westfall of Waynetown; six grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, April 28, 1948, Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Waynetown Baptist Church with burial at Waynetown Masonic cemetery. Rev. Harvey Burns and Rev. Guy Tremaine will officiate. Friends may call at the home in Waynetown.
